Thanks for stopping by!  This page is brand spankin' new and I'm still working out the kinks. Please be patient with me!

So how did Demon Monkey Craft start?  I first learned to cross stitch from my Grandma when I was little.  She taught me the basic X stitch and I dabbled a little.  I didn't do much until my 20s when I tried to do a dresser scarf for a child.  I was bored out of my mind and each stitch felt like torture.  After I finished that project, I quit.  I wasn't interested in stitching a bunch of teddy bears and Bible verses.

And then I was introduced to Subversive Cross Stitch, by Julie Jackson.  I.  Was. Hooked. Finally, someone was making patterns for people like me!!!  And after knocking out a few patterns, I started to create my own.  I loved the freedom of expression and the use of a traditional craft in modern ways.  My patterns reflect my interests and my sense of humor and snark.  It isn't for everyone but I know there are a few of you out there who "get me."

Almost always, I use DMC floss and Demon Monkey Craft is a play on my fave floss.   So stay tuned to this site for new and improved things, blog posts and more awesomeness. I appreciate your feedback as well.  In the event my shop isn't working, please see me over at my Etsy site: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DemonMonkeyCraft.
